Skilled horsemen, they are the iconic symbol of Argentinean tradition, popularised in modern culture since the early years of the 19th century. This week long equestrian adventure takes you from the vibrant streets of the Argentinean capital and out into the mountains and grasslands of the rural heartland, to spend time enjoying the hospitality of two of the country's most highly regarded estancias. During your time you will get a chance to try your hand at a variety of traditional gaucho activities and learn the elegant sport of polo at the hands of experts. From Buenos Aires you will first fly north, into the beautiful Cordoba region, to enjoy three nights at the colonial-style, Estancia El Colibri, set amidst some 420 acres of prime Argentinean grassland. The second half of the trip then transports you to the Pampas and the charming Estancia La Sofia, a wonderful oasis of calm that has its own polo school and facilities for nature walks and bird watching. | |
